When it comes to flossing, I actually enjoy it. I floss at least once at day and it really makes a difference in how your mouth and gums feel.
Let’s talk about the importance of flossing. You’re probably asking yourself, what is the point of flossing? Flossing removes the plaque and debris that sticks to your teeth. People wonder why they have bad breath and not flossing has a lot to do with it. Leaving food in between your teeth is feeding opportunity of bacteria to crawl in and multiply and increase the chance of cavities. Flossing will prevent gum disease of getting worse because all of the bacteria is out the mouth.
Every person has a different kind of floss they prefer. There are the waxed, non waxed, regular, wide and flavored and unflavored. Flat floss is the easiest to use. Waxed floss is usually used for tight contacts. Non waxed floss will make a squeaky sound so you know everything is clean. The water pick can be used with flossing purposes just not as a substitute. It works really well with braces where a toothbrush missed. If you have a bridge there is a easy way for you to floss, using a floss threader. It’s a looped plastic material. You would place the floss through the loop, fold the floss over, bring the plastic piece through the top of the bridge, and pull plastic loop out leaving the floss still above the bridge.
Your mouth and your gums will love you if you just take once a day and floss.
It will make a difference from minimizing bad breath and decreasing your chance of gum disease.
